We have changed a lot of things in the library. We started the week before Christmas break and are wrapping up now.
A big shoutout goes to Mrs. Rosson who did most of the heavy lifting!
She moved fiction chapter books to their new home. We moved Non Fiction books to the outside wall which freed up lots of room in the middle. So much so we were able to get rid of one whole shelf and free up more room.
After that the big project is sorting and labeling the children's books into a new category system. We are grouping books under 10 main categories:
Animals, Basics, Go, Holidays, Me, Nature, People, Places, Play, Stories.
Each category has subcategories. They will then be shelved and labeled as such making it much easier for both students and teachers to locate books on specific topics, or on certain interests.
